SMH Special National School Baldoyle received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through Next Generation EU. This funding in the last few years has helped us develop our ICT resources, invest in new communion devices and improve access to communion boards and assistive technologies per the criteria outlined in circular 0060/2021. As part of our digital strategy 25-26 we are hoping to work with our local community in developing new inclusive communication systems and also expand our eye-gaze resources.
