The Department of Education and Skills (DES) has overall responsibility for the provision of the school bus service. Before a child is enrolled in the school, parents are given a School Transport Application Form to fill in. This form is sent to the Special Education Needs Organiser (SENO) who submits it to the DES to be sanctioned. As soon as the application is sanctioned, Bus Eireann are responsible for finding the most suitable transport for the child.
Bus Escorts, as employees of the school, aim to provide the best possible service for all pupils. Parents are encouraged to keep the Bus Escort informed of any changes to their child’s health or routine.
Bus Drivers are contracted by Bus Eireann, on behalf of the Department of Education & Skills and are not employees of the school.
Change of Address:
If parents are changing their address they must
- Request a Change of Address Form for transport from the School Office
Sign and return this as soon as possible as the change of address must be sanctioned before the child can avail of the service.
