A Virtual Assembly June 2020

A Virtual Assembly June 2020

It is very hard to believe we have been closed for 3 long months. We know how difficult this time has been for our country but especially for our families. The best we can hope for is that you are keeping well and staying safe at home with your family. We continue to miss you all so very much. Usually in June we have lots of fun activities such as Sports Day, Class Outings, visits from the Farm Animals and of course celebrations for our School Graduates.

Instead, we are all still at home and teachers are doing their utmost to provide you with some fun ideas and activities.

We are also preparing for a Virtual School Graduation for our wonderful school leavers, Megan, Ella and Chloe, and will hopefully be able to share this with you too.

These are very uncertain times but be assured that we are making plans for re-opening the school in September whilst still waiting for official guidance from the Department of Education and Skills. Our school has to be particularly mindful of the complex medical needs and vulnerability of many of our children, so we will be seeking advice and guidance on best practice.

The school staff and our wonderful pupils have joined together for this "animal" inspired Virtual Assembly, in keeping with our Animal Theme and our Human Value, Truth. We hope you will enjoy seeing and hearing some familiar faces and voices.

As always, keep an eye on our School Instagram page (@stmichaelshousebaldoyle) for lots of ideas. I would also like to acknowledge the amazing work and creativity by our teacher, Jess, who is the master behind these wonderful assembly videos.

We will keep you updated on any developments regarding re-opening when we have further guidance. In the meantime, stay strong and stay safe.

Best wishes
